We live within walking distance of the Taj, and take full advantage of this as we love it there. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, but without being intrusive. Over the many times we have eaten in or collected a take-away we have never been disappointed and the food is always excellent quality. When eating in we love sitting near to the huge fish tank at the back. As a vegetarian, I would love it if they added more vegetarian options to the menu but if you are eating in they will try to make anything you request.

There's nothing revolutionary here, but everything is done pretty well and the prices aren't too steep.
There is parking outside (a big plus on town centre restaurants) and the service is good - especially with children.
If you want classic Anglo-Indian food at a decent price, go for it.
We live locally to the Taj and have visited many times over the years. On every occasion we've been greeted warmly, experienced smooth consistent service, eaten high quality Indian food from a varied menu, and not paid the earth. Friends and family also agree that it's one of the best Indian restaurants they have been to. I'd highly recommend it to anybody.
