One of Best Chinese Retaurants in Uk
I have been eating at Sun Do for over 20 years and my wife for over 35 years. In all this time we only had one meal that be could desribed as average and that chef did not last long. Timmy the maitre d is always welcoming and the staff very friendly. If there is something you want that is not on the menu they are only too happy to oblige. No it is not as cheap as take away prices but the quality of the produce justifies the price. If I had to search for a criticism it may be that the decor is now looking slightly dated but the place is as clean as a new pin. If you ever meet the owner and his swiss wife who are now semi retired you will find they treat you like long lost friends and do anything to make you feel like a VIP. Try the special ribs and the sizzling beef fillet with black pepper. Superb!

Bad atmosphere, bland and over-priced
We ate here on a Saturday night a few weeks ago (March 2011) and couldn't believe how empty it was; just 8 people on 3 tables including us. The place had a surly and depressing atmosphere, and we didn't even see anyone come in to collect a take-away, which is bad business for peak time Saturday night. The food was fairly bland. My dish was dry with very little sauce. We were persuaded not to order the organic greens on the basis that it was limited to one type of vegetable, so ordered the mixed veg dish instead - but this was only bok choi, so not much variety there! We couldn't believe it when we got the bill as the cost was extortionate for what we had. We did check the items listed and it seemed to be right, but I'm sure we must have been over-charged for something. We won't be going back.

Best Chinese in Sevenoaks
Sun Do really is a cut above, my only complaint is that they don't deliver takeaway! Despite this we frequently go and collect a takeaway from here because the food is worth the inconvenience!
The soft fried noodles are exceptional and the honey sesame chicken is a personal fave.
