When the Fab Four came to Sevenoaks

As a relatively new Sennockian, there is probably plenty of Sevenoaks folklore I’m yet to pick up, but as a Beatles fan I’m ashamed that I didn’t know this. The video accompanying Strawberry Fields Forever was filmed right here, in Knole Park.

Did this deer's great grandad meet John, Paul, George and Ringo?
I’m doubly ashamed as it was filmed on my birthday, back in 1967.
The Fab Four came to Sevenoaks on 30 and 31 January, 1967 and the innovative shoot was directed by Swedish television director Peter Goldman, a mutual friend of producer and Revolver cover designer, Klaus Voormann.
Watch the video on YouTube now and see if you can spot the deer and the trees that remain today...
Are there any Sevenoaks residents out there that remember the day the Beatles came? We’d love to hear your stories! And if you have any photos, please share them with Sevenoaks People!
