Sevenoaks Local Legend: shortlist announced

The votes are in, the stories have been read and the shortlist has been drawn up... and we can now reveal that the three locals in the running to become the Face of Sevenoaks are:

Who will be crowned King or Queen of Sevenoaks?

Harry Garrett, Dunkirk veteran who has raised thousands of pounds for the British Legion and promotes their cause.

Patrick Howse for being “a face everyone in Sevenoaks knows, top chap!”

Diane of Oxfam because “she brightens up the day, with her cheerful character and helpful advice. She is one of the most hard-working managers.”

Now keep your eyes peeled as we’ll be announcing the overall winner and interviewing them here on Sevenoaks People on 22 March, 2011.

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you're saying here? The winner hasn't been decided or announced yet, this is a shortlist of three. I'm not quite sure what you mean about it being a bit of fun, do you mean the competition or voting for Patrick?

hmm.well you didnt organise that very well,did you?....the Farce of Sevenoaks....Patrick should tell you to forget it and give it to someone else - anyone else-I would have voted for the beagle to see how you got on with the interview part....it was only supposed to be a bit of fun after all ..whatever happens now wont feel right.
