Should we worry about knife crime in Sevenoaks?
According to Kentnews.co.uk, up to 100 young people “descended” on the party on Saturday night. As teenagers wandered around the nearby roads, several worried neighbours calling police.
An assault was later reported, resulting in a 17-year-old boy being arrested and charged with ‘wounding with intent’.

Has knife crime become an increasing problem in Sevenoaks? Do you worry about teenage violence or is this simply a case of one bad apple going too far, as has always happened?
Comments
Knife crime has never been an issue in Sevenoaks as far as I am aware.
I guess this was a case of bored teenagers turning up to a party they were probably not actually invited to (or via a facebook invite that got out of hand)
Its all about 'respect' and 'bravado' these days and it only takes one high/drunk/spurned wally to lash out at an innocent to prove how 'hard' he/she is to the rest of his/her peers.
Sadly you see it up and down the country every weekend. Lets hope this is a very rare occurence in West Kent.
