Alternative folk duo The Portraits, who played at 2013’s Glastonbury Festival, perform at St Peter & St Paul Church in Shoreham on 8th February 2014 and are appealing for local voices to sing on the recording of their new single ‘The Rest Of Time’ with which they hope to reach the Top 40. The track, written about the power we each have to save a life, will accompany an urgent call for people to sign up to the Bone Marrow register at a time when many potential recipients still die before finding a donor match. The song will be heard in public for the first time at The Portraits’ Shoreham concert, where the audience themselves will record one of several layers of voices that will be used on the final version of the single, planned for release in the summer. The Portraits play at Shoreham’s St Peter & St Paul Church, Church Street, Shoreham, Kent, TN14 7SA on 8th February 2014. Music starts 7.30pm. Free Entry, reservation recommended: email tickets@theportraitsmusic.com/call 07934 782687
