I had dinner there last night - wasn't impressed!
Lights are too bright, took ages between ordering a drink and it being delivered. Our starter of "a selection of breads" was very disappointing, and it arrived 10seconds before the main course arrived, and they don't seem to provide side plates for us to eat the bread from which was a bit odd.

There was only 5 dishes on the main course menu, none of which really appealed, and the pasta meatball dish I ended up choosing was cold in the middle and I only found one meatball which was chopped up.
Italian food is supposed to be simple, easy to eat, and enjoyable, thats what Piccolo uses to be like - really sad its been replaced by yet another overpriced wannabe London restaurant!

Oh dear, that doesn't sound good. I'm surprised as lunch was great but I've not had dinner there. I never ate in Piccolo, didn't really like the look of it, but perhaps that's a shame. Have you been in Soprano's yet? I've not tried it, but like the look of it, looks a bit less polished.

I had dinner there and it was really good, although I do recall the selection of bread being quite small! I've since bought food from their shop and it was brilliant :)

The place certainly tempts me, although I wonder whether it serves as a cafe in the morning? The pavement tables always look like they'd be great for taking in a ristretto and watching the world go by.
