Suspected brothel raided in Bradbourne Road

A 45-year-old Bromley woman was arrested and later cautioned for controlling prostitution at a house in Bradbourne Road, Sevenoaks on Thursday, 26 August.

Office had a search warrant for the premises under section 53 of the Sexual Offences Act, Controlling prostitution for gain. The house was rented from a landlord who was not aware of the complaints made about activity at the property and the tenancy will be revoked.

Local police officers were accompanied by officers from the UK Border Agency and another woman was arrested at the suspected brothel on suspicion of breaching her visa requirements.

PSCO Karl Coomber said: “We received numerous complaints from local residents who told us their suspicions about what the premises were being used for.  These complaints were investigated and as a result the warrant was carried out.

“Anyone who has policing concerns should always report them to police. Information we receive is always acted on.”
