A DRUG user has been arrested for theft nearly every year since 1997.
Daniel Marczewski appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates on Wednesday, August 11, charged with three thefts.
He pleaded guilty to taking sunglasses from Boots and Specsavers, and £100 worth of picture frames from JH Lorimers in Sevenoaks on July 13.
The 33-year-old was stopped outside Lorimers after he was spotted stealing the glasses in Boots.
All of the goods he had stolen were recovered.
The court heard Marczewski, of Burnt Ash Lane, Sundridge Park, Bromley, had been arrested for theft every year since 1997 except for 2000 and 2007 and had a long-standing drug problem.
As he was due to appear before Bromley Magistrates for another offence on August 23, it was agreed to transfer the Sevenoaks matters there so that they could be dealt with at the same time.
Marczewski will remain in custody until that date.
