Some 10,800 households in Sevenoaks will have their rubbish and recycling collected on a new day, starting Monday, 16 August.

Is your household affected by new bin collections?
The Council has written to the addresses affected – which make up about 20% of the district’s residents – and all letters should have been received by tomorrow (Thursday, 5 August).
According to Sevenoaks District Council, this is the first change to refuse rounds in 15 years and are being brought in to make the service more efficient. It will also even out the collection rounds which had changed on an ad hoc basis as new homes have been built in the town.
Every household will still get a weekly collection, irrespective of the day changing. If you haven’t received a letter by tomorrow, you may still be subject to a collection time change, so make sure you have put your bags out by 7am on the day you expect them to be picked up.
The garden waste collection remains unaffected.
