Bin collections in snowy Sevenoaks

The Council is still collecting refuse from households today from those roads, but only where it is safe to do so.

They say that in practice most people will still have their rubbish collected, however there may be hills and side roads that are inaccessible to refuse vehicles.

They say: “As refuse vehicles weigh up to 26 tonnes, drivers have to consider the potential risk of injury to the public, staff and other's property, as well as the likelihood of becoming stuck, causing further disruption.

“Should residents not receive their scheduled refuse collection, the Council is asking that they take in their refuse and recycling bags and place them out for collection by 7am on their next scheduled collection day.”
