    Sevenoaks District Council will collect real Christmas trees for free for composting.
    With the festive season almost over thoughts turn to what to do with your Christmas tree.  Help is at hand from Sevenoaks District Council which will collect residents' real trees with a trunk up to 89mm (3.5") in diameter for free throughout January so they can be composted.   • Sevenoaks rubbish collections unaffected by festive break

    Leave your rubbish out at normal times during the Christmas holidays.
    Refuse collections will carry on as normal over the festive season, Sevenoaks District Council has promised. Residents should put their bags out on their usual collection day by 7am, as a weekly Monday to Friday service will be provided throughout the holiday period.     Sevenoaks Town Mayor Margaret Crabtree has been busy appearing at recent local events such as the firework procession, Remembrance Sunday and the Christmas lights ceremony. People are being asked how they would like the Town Coincil and parish councils run.

    WORKING TOGETHER: A new partnership between Sevenoaks District Council and West Kent Housing will provide more support for vulnerable people such as the homeless.
    Sevenoaks District Council has struck a new agreement with West Kent Housing to work on community safety and development projects.
