Ruth leads the way in Sevenoaks School's Knole run

The 38th Boys Knole Run and the 16th Girls Knole Run took place in Knole Park on Saturday (14 January).

Sevenoaks Boys took 7th place in the team competition, the best team result in the boys race for over 25 years.

Sevenoaks School won the team competition with Ruth Bourne taking first place overall.
It was a sunny but cold day, almost ideal conditions for the race, though one or two parts of the course were still icy even in the afternoon.
The Girls race, which started first at 2.30pm, attracted more than 20 teams and was won by some distance by Ruth Bourne of Sevenoaks School in a new course record with Sevenoaks School winning the team competition (Ruth Bourne 1st place, Tabitha Adams 9th, Nadia Ogilvie 10th and Nicola Wilkinson 12th).
The Boys race began at 2.40pm, with more than 40 teams competing this year. Henry Pearce of Tonbridge School won the race in a time of 32.24 and the team competition was won by Judd School.
Sevenoaks Boys took 7th place in the team competition, with Hanro Rossouw 14th, Jake Spence 21st, Chris Olley 23rd, Alex Branford 92nd, Jonah Mendelsohn 105th and Jan Sokol 114th.
This was Sevenoaks School's best result in the boys race for over 25 years and the team achieved the highest placed co-educational school.
