Police appeal after man tried to rob Sevenoaks woman, in her 50s, of her bag

Detectives are appealing for information following a report of an attempted robbery in Sevenoaks. 

The incident is reported to have taken place on 31 January in Bat and Ball Road, at around 7:30pm. 

A woman aged in her 50s reported that after she got off a coach in Otford Road she made her way into Bat and Ball Road. 

She was then approached by a man thought to be aged between 25-29 years-old, described as having dark skin, around 5ft 10in in height, unshaven, wearing a dark jacket with a hood and dark trousers.

It is reported that the man attempted to grab the woman's bag, but was distracted by a couple who were walking out of the rail station. 

The man left empty-handed but police are now appealing to anyone with any information, or any witnesses, to get in touch.
