Kent Police and the Kent People's Trust are proud to announce the Kent Community Safety Awards.

The awards ceremony will be a prestigious event to recognise the people and firms that hep to reduce crime and increase safety in order to make Kent a safer place to live and work.

Chief Constable Ian Learmonth QPM said 'These awards are about recognising and celebrating those people who have made a significant contribution to our county.

'Whether through preventing crime, improving conditions for businesses to operate or tackling the blight of anti-social behaviour on our streets.

'Without the passion, hard work and determination of public spirited individuals, agencies and businesses, policing would be a lot more difficult'.

The awards dinner will be held on Wednesday 27th March 2013 at the Ashford International Hotel.

The evening will be hosted by Nigel Wheeler, Chairman of the Kent People's Trust with special guest appearance from the new Police & Crime Commissioner, Anne Barnes, Deputy Lieutenant Lord Condon QPM, Rt Hon Damian Green, MP, Chief Inspector Ian Learmonth and guest speaker Clive Emson from Clive Emson Auctioneers.

The awards are aimed at the Kent community and will highlight and celebrate innovation and excellence across the wide range of community safety initiatives that take place in Kent.

The award categories include the Business Safety Award, the Partnership and Innovation Award, the Community Safety Team Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
