Anyone in the Sevenoaks area who bought or was offered cheap meat for sale over the festive period is being asked to get in touch with the police as it may have been stolen.

Burglars targeted a farm near Sevenoaks on 17 December between 5pm and 7am the following morning, and stole a large quantity of meat from a cold storage unit.

The meat was worth £9,000 and included strip sirloin beef, rump steak, streaky bacon, rib-eye beef, gammon, topside beef, beef fillet and ox tail.

The products were packaged in 20kg green boxes marked with 'CATTLEMANS CHOICE, INDIVIDUALLY SELECTED QUALITY BOX'.

Anyone who may have been offered the meat is asked to contact police on 01732 379141 (if possible quoting YY/2210/11) or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
