Free parking for Sevenoaks Christmas Shopping night: November 30, 2012

Shoppers can take advantage of free evening parking as part of this year's Sevenoaks Christmas Lights Switch On and late-night shopping event when all Council parking charges will be waived in the town.

Drivers can park for free in any of Sevenoaks District Council's town centre car parks and on-street parking areas [apart from Sevenoaks High Street which will be closed to traffic] on Friday 30 November from 6pm for the rest of the evening.

Sencio Community Leisure will also be providing the same free parking concession in its leisure centre car park.

Cllr Avril Hunter, Sevenoaks District Council's Cabinet member for parking, says: "Families love the switching on of the Sevenoaks Christmas lights which mark the beginning of the festive season. 

"We're supporting businesses and contributing to a successful event by making parking free. I would encourage residents to support local traders and ensure they enjoy this exciting annual event."

The Sevenoaks Christmas Lights Switch On and late night shopping event is organised by Sevenoaks Town Council and includes celebrities from The Stag Panto 'Aladdin'.
