BLACKHEATH LADIES II 0

SEVENOAKS LADIES ACORNS 4

Kent Division 1

ON ANOTHER late afternoon start and with a smaller squad, the Acorns continued their winning ways with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over a mature Blackheath side, gaining revenge for their loss in the first fixture on home turf earlier in the season.

Kelsey Rush was soon in action as Blackheath tested her reflexes and the resultant save saw Fran Walton's long forward pass rewarded with a short corner to Sevenoaks, Walton opening the scoring: 1-0.

After a number of fine saves, the Blackheath goalkeeper was eventually defeated when Charlotte Hubble, Ellie Desmond and Giles moved the ball swiftly between them before finding Anna Healey, who slotted into the net: 2-0.

Sevenoaks increased their pressure in the second half – Sarah Burnham's midfield contribution was awe-inspiring as she won tackle after tackle and distributed the ball effectively out to the wings. She ensured that the forwards were readily supplied with ammunition to attack and after a sequence of eight short corners to Sevenoaks, Mandal scored their third goal. Tara Daly got the fourth.
